Terms of use
Last updated: 2026-10-02
1. Agreement
By using MyWiFiQR you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised version.
2. What the service is
MyWiFiQR is a free tool that generates static QR codes in your browser. A static code carries its content inside the code itself. Once downloaded, there is no server holding a copy, no way to change where it points, no expiry date, and no way for us — or for anyone else — to count how many times it was scanned.
This distinction matters. If you need a code whose destination can be changed after printing, or a code that reports scan counts, you need a dynamic code service. This site does not provide one and does not claim to.
3. Acceptable use
The generator is a general-purpose tool, and we do not review or moderate the codes it produces. You agree not to use it to create content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else's rights. This includes, without limitation:
- Phishing pages, spoofed login pages, or any content intended to steal credentials.
- Malware distribution links, or codes pointing at executable downloads presented as something else.
- Counterfeit goods, impersonation of a business or person, or deceptive instructions presented as legitimate.
- Material that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Content that is hateful, threatening, or that targets a person or group.
- Unsolicited bulk messaging, spam, or codes used to circumvent platform restrictions.
We do not host, store, or transmit the content of any code you make, and we cannot review it — the code never reaches us. These restrictions are a condition of your use of the tool, not a description of a moderation system.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the content you encode and for how the resulting code is used, including where you print it and who you give it to. In particular:
- WiFi passwords are readable. A WiFi code contains the password in plain text. Anyone who can photograph the printed code can read it. Use a separate guest network with a rotateable password, never a network holding sensitive devices.
- Contact details are public. A vCard code contains the name, phone, and email you entered. Anyone who scans it gets them.
- You need the right to use what you encode. If you put a logo on a code, make sure you have permission to use that image.
5. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that codes generated will scan in every circumstance, or that the site will remain available. A QR code that works on one camera may fail on another, in poor light, at small sizes, or on glossy print. Test your printed code on the devices your audience actually uses before producing them at volume.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of this site or of any code you generate with it.
7. Intellectual property
The design, text, and code of this site are the property of MyWiFiQR. The QR codes you generate are yours to use freely, including commercially.
"QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED. We make descriptive, referential use of that term to describe the technology. QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by DENSO WAVE.
8. Third-party links
Codes you generate may point to third-party websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Following a code to an external site is your decision; look at the address before you do.
9. Termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the site at any time without notice. Because the site has no user accounts and no stored data, there is nothing to migrate or delete on your behalf, and any code you already printed continues to work as long as its destination does — that is one of the genuine advantages of a static code.
10. Governing terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent using the contact details on theabout page.
